First of all, thanks for your patience. If you’re having trouble submitting a claim, it could be because of one of the following reasons:
You are entering the wrong policy or plan number
If you’ve bought plans with us before, make sure you are using the current policy number for your current claim. If you aren’t sure what your policy number is, you can log on to your member account on this page. Once you have the correct policy number, you can go to the e-claims portal from our claims administrator, Trip Mate, here and file a claim.
Remember to use the correct plan number as well; while your policy number is unique to you (and starts with WN), your plan number relates to what travel protection plan you bought:
You need a password reset for your World Nomads Member Account
If you need to log on to your member account to get your policy number, but you’ve forgotten your password – don’t worry! You can contact us to get your password reset. Use 'Password Reset' as the subject line. This process can take some time, so please be patient.
Your policy is missing in your World Nomads member account
It’s possible that you checked out as a guest even though you have a membership, which is why your policy isn’t showing up in your account. You’ll need to contact the customer service team to request a membership merge ( Select 'Travel Insurance' and 'My Membership' in the contact form.) Once the merge is complete, you’ll then see your member account.
On the e-claims portal, your activation link isn’t working
If it’s been more than 24 hours, you can resend the email to yourself. If you can’t find the email, check your spam or junk folders.
You don’t have all the documents or details to upload right now
Just fill out what you know and the system will automatically save your progress. You can come back to where you left off once you have the required documentation. Please note that you will not get a claim number until all the documents have been uploaded. When you go to log back in, you’ll need to use your email address and password to continue.
You want to provide additional details about your claim that the portal didn’t ask for
Great! The more information you provide, the quicker we may be able to process your claim. You can drag and drop any additional documents to the last option on the bottom of the document upload page. Be sure to only upload supported files: (25MG max for images, 5MNB max for .pdf, .doc, .ppt and .xls).
You can't upload your documents
Check to see if your attachments fit our formatting requirements listed above: we accept emails, text and Word documents, jpegs and pdfs. If you’re still having issues, you may need to email your documentation to wnclaims@tripmate.com. Be sure to include your claim number on this email if you choose to send via email.
