When you’re planning your next outdoor adventure holiday, whether it’s bungee jumping in New Zealand, scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef, or tackling rapids on a white-water rafting expedition in the USA, the last thing you want is to face an unexpected mishap.
That’s where World Nomads travel insurance comes in. We offer travel insurance cover when life throws you a curveball. Don’t take risks with your safety, consider protecting your next adventure with World Nomads.
World Nomads offers two plans – a Standard Plan and an Explorer Plan – each with different benefits, limits and sub-limits of coverage.
Standard Plan: Includes a range of benefits such as overseas medical, coverage for your belongings, pre-trip cancellation and certain adventure activities.
Explorer Plan: Has all the benefits of a Standard Plan and a few more and is more expensive to buy.
Please choose carefully from the outset, as you can’t upgrade from a Standard Plan to an Explorer Plan mid-trip. Depending on your Country of Residence, you may also need to add adventure activities to your quote as another type of coverage upgrade as you can’t add this mid-trip.
Always ensure you buy the right policy that aligns with your travel plans and needs. If you need more information visit our Help Centre, or get in touch.
Here are several activities under each category that World Nomads love to do:
Not all activities, sports, and experiences are covered under every plan. You may have to upgrade the policy and sporting level to receive the cover you require for the activities you plan to do. Please read your policy wording carefully before you buy.
I was surfing and was bitten by a shark in Tortuga Bay, Galapagos Is. I was able to walk to the medical center in nearby Puerto Ayora, where I received emergency medical treatment from Dr. Idrovo. The treatment consisted of cleaning the wound, local anesthetic and ten stitches. A course of antibiotics and anti-inflammatories/ pain-killers was prescribed. A follow of check 24 hours later (today) revealed no infection. I am able to provide photos of the injury and treatment.
