On 22 November 2025, Air New Zealand announced strike action is likely to occur at various times on 8 December 2025 after ongoing negotiations between the airline and employee unions failed to reach an agreement. Disruption to travel is anticipated due to this proposed strike action.

How does this event affect your cover
If you already have a policy with us, coverage may be available subject to the policy terms, conditions, limitations and exclusions.
Policies purchased or extended once circumstances that could result in a claim are known, or should have been known, will not provide cover for any losses which arise in relation to those circumstances.

If you need to change your travel arrangements, contact your airline, cruise company or travel agent for assistance in the first instance.
