The World Nomads website is temporarily unavailable while we complete system changes as part of the global sale of World Nomads to its new owner, IMG. IMG is working hard behind the scenes to reflect the change in ownership and ensure a smooth transition. Our technical teams are implementing these changes to ensure a seamless customer experience and expect the website to be available again within approximately 2 hours.
Thank you for your patience while we complete this work.
Rest assured, your insurance benefits, coverage, and plan terms will not change as a result of this transaction. Your existing claims, customer service inquiries, and plan servicing will continue without interruption.
If you require urgent assistance while our website is unavailable, our Emergency Assistance team is available 24/7. For all other enquiries, please contact our Customer Service team in your location here.
Ex-tropical Cyclone Tam has brought severe weather to New Zealand’s North Island with heavy rain and strong winds reaching up to 130 km/h. The storm has led to fallen trees, hazardous driving conditions, and power outages, affecting both residents and travellers during the Easter weekend.
This Cyclone event is now widely reported in the media, meaning any policies purchased after 12:00pm, AEST 17 April 2025 will not provide cover for losses arising from this event.
This does not impact cover provided by policies purchased prior to this time, subject to the terms of the policy.
If you hold a policy with us and require emergency assistance due to this event, please contact our international assistance team as soon as it’s practicable and safe to do so.
For the latest advice, visit US Department of State.
Policies purchased after an event occurs will not provide cover for any losses which arise in relation to that event.
If you already had a policy with us, coverage is available subject to the policy terms and conditions and exclusions.
If you need to change your travel arrangements, contact your airline, cruise company or travel agent for assistance in the first instance.
Please retain all supporting documentation evidencing expenses incurred. Please remember as a term of your policy you must do everything you can to minimise losses. If you need to submit a claim, please complete the claim form and if you need help doing this, contact us.
