Want to cancel your policy?

We understand that even the grandest plans for adventure are sometimes derailed by work, health… or free tickets to the English Premier League.

All World Nomads Travel Insurance policies are subject to a ‘cooling-off’ period within which you may be able to cancel your policy without any penalty. Outside of this period, if you want to cancel your policy, you can contact us.

The cooling-off period for World Nomads Travel Insurance is 21 days.

How does the cooling-off period work?

If you cancel your policy with World Nomads within the cooling-off period, we will refund your premium as long as you aren’t using your policy in any way.  This means that:

  • You haven’t travelled under your policy or started your trip; and
  • You are not making a claim; and
  • You are not exercising any other right under the policy.

What is the difference between cancelling my policy and lodging a claim for cancellation expenses?

Cancelling your policy under the cooling-off period means you won’t be eligible to make claims under the policy, such as for medical expenses or damaged baggage. This also includes cancellation expenses.

How do I cancel my policy under my cooling-off period?

If you are eligible to cancel your policy within its cooling-off period, you can cancel it by:
