There will be a change of ownership of worldnomads.com Pty Limited1 (WN.com) shortly as part of the global sale of the World Nomads travel business to Sirius International UK Holdings II Ltd which is an affiliate of International Medical Group, Inc. (“SP”) provided certain conditions are fulfilled. We anticipate completing this transaction between 31 August 2026 and 1 December 2026. The transfer will not affect the distribution of World Nomads travel insurance policies.

The sale of the international brand of nib’s travel insurance business, World Nomads, reflects nib’s strategic priority to simplify its portfolio and focus capital and capability on its core health insurance and health adjacent businesses in the Australian and New Zealand markets.
No. Rest assured your current travel insurance plan will continue as normal, with the same coverages, terms and conditions.
Yes. If your policy covers travel after the sale completes, your cover will continue as expected.
If you buy a new policy after the sale takes place, it will be distributed by worldnomads.com Pty Limited (now owned and controlled by SP) as an Authorised Representative (for Australian residents) or authorised agent (for New Zealand residents) of nib Travel Services (Australia) Pty Ltd. This won’t affect the level of cover you receive.

Your plan details and personal information, including all individuals covered under the plan, will remain within worldnomads.com Pty Limited (now owned and controlled by SP) and nib Travel Services (Australia) Pty Ltd.
Your information will continue to be handled in line with applicable data protection laws, our global privacy policy and where applicable the policy in your country of residence. It will also continue to be shared with relevant partners (such as the plan insurer).
There is no change to how you make a claim. Any existing or new claims will continue to be handled as normal and will not be affected by this change.
