To be eligible to purchase travel insurance as a UK resident, your home address:
A traveller must also be registered with a General Practitioner (GP) in the UK.
Where a traveller has not lived in the UK in the 12 months prior to purchasing travel insurance, they are not eligible, unfortunately.
While it is not necessary to have lived at this address for the entire 12 months prior to purchase, a traveller must have resided there at some point in the 12 months.
However, our travel insurance is available to UK residents already travelling outside of the UK where the eligibility criteria are met. Our flexible travel insurance can be purchased online in minutes, using your debit/credit card. However waiting periods may apply, so please check the policy wording before purchasing.

You are not eligible to buy a policy if you travel against medical advice, travel with the intention of receiving medical treatment, or have a terminal illness. World Nomads policies cannot cover claims due to Pre-Existing Medical Conditions (PEMC), regardless of whether the condition is serious or not. You can still purchase a World Nomads policy, but the PEMC exclusion cannot be removed, and you will be responsible for any related costs.
