My glands swelled up while I was in Thailand making it painful to eat. I went to the hospital was prescribed tablets of Amoxicilin for the swelling. After a few days the swelling in my face was getting better but it had spread down to my testicles. I went to another doctor and he diagnosed me with the mumps and Orchitis, the severely painful swelling of the testis which can cause infertility. He prescribed a 5 day course of antibiotics medication to maintain intestinal health. The next day the pain was unbearable and I was also prescribed painkillers. After a week or so the swelling started to go down, although there is some permanent damage to my testis.
