A House Fire in Pucon, Chile

How we helped when this nomad had their house burn down

While in Pucon, Chile our tour group was staying in a rented house. One morning while getting ready to go skydiving a man came into the house frantically urging us in Spanish to leave the house immediately because there was a fire next door. We quickly left the house and saw the smoke coming from the neighbor’s roof. We made sure that everyone was out of the house, but only a few of our belongings were retrieved before it was too dangerous to re-enter the house. The entire house was burnt and gutted. I lost most of my travel gear to the fire including clothing and electronics.
