I went diving with instructors at manta dive on Gili Trawangan in Bali and the next morning I awoke to find my body had developed a rash (which was later diagnosed as a symptom of skin bends). After speaking to a dive specialist at the diver alert network I was sent via speed boat to the Bali International Medical Centre for treatment. They treated me as both an inpatient and outpatient for two days before sending me to Shanglah Hospital to be treated in the hyperbaric chamber. I was also required to get a check up after 2-3 weeks out of the chamber.
As I had already booked my flight to Bangkok, I had to arrange to get my check up here.
How WN Helped
They compensated me for the medical treatment in both hospitals and the follow up appointment in Bangkok.
