10-Day France Itinerary: From Paris to Provence

Discover the best of Paris, Burgundy, and the South of France with our 10-day travel itinerary.

Explore iconic French museums, historic villages, medieval abbeys, bustling local markets, and ochre-colored canyons – it’s all here in this 10-day itinerary.

At World Nomads, travel is a way of life – we’re passionate about helping other travelers fuel their curiosity and explore the world with confidence. So, when we put an itinerary together, you can be sure it’s filled with unique experiences, expert guidance, and memorable activities.

We asked travel writer and part-time France resident Tamara Thiessen to create a journey that offers a true taste (literally and figuratively) of French history and culture. France is a big country, so Tamara focused on Paris, the Burgundy region, and the Luberon – places overflowing with charming towns, stunning architecture, and scenic beauty. It’s as if your worldly, France-based cousin put together a trip just for you.

This day-by-day itinerary is designed to be flexible – you can skip some of the stops if you’re short on time or choose to follow the Burgundy or Luberon portions on their own (Dijon is about 2 hours from Lyon, and the Luberon is about 3 hours from Nice or an hour from Marseille).
