World Nomads Intrepid Japan Trip Giveaway Competition 

Collection Notice

In order to confirm your entry into the World Nomads Intrepid Japan Trip Giveaway Competition, we request that you read the below Collection Notice. The purpose of the Collection Notice is to explain how we collect, handle and uses your personal information when you enter the World Nomads Intrepid Japan Trip Giveaway Competition. 

As we are part of a large international group, your competition entry form and the personal information you provide may be shared within World Nomads.com Pty Ltd (ABN 62 127 485 198) and its related entities worldwide. We may also share your entry form with Intrepid Travel Pty Ltd (ABN 35 007 172 456) (Intrepid) for the purposes described below. 

Collection and disclosure of your personal information  

We may collect, hold, use and share your completed registration form and any personal information you provide for the following purposes:  

  • to process your competition entry and determine eligibility;
  • to contact you by phone or email to advise that you are the competition winner and for the management and delivery of the Prize;
  • we may also collect and/or use your information if we are required to cooperate with law enforcement authorities, if we are authorised to do so by law, or to comply with the law. 
  • to liaise with Intrepid in relation to the Prize and any travel or accommodation arrangements;
  • If you have ticked an “opt-in” box authorising us to share your personal information with Intrepid and/or our agents, you consent to us disclosing your personal information to them and to the collection, use and storage of your personal information in their databases. Intrepid may use your information for direct marketing about their products and services, including via electronic messages, subject to compliance with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). All direct marketing communications will include a functional unsubscribe facility that complies with the Spam Regulations 2021 (Cth); 
  • to add your personal details to mailing lists only where you have opted-in to receive marketing communications from World Nomads and/or Intrepid; and
  • to comply with any applicable law, to cooperate with law enforcement authorities, or where we are otherwise authorised or required to do so. 

Access to your personal information 

You can ask us for access to your personal information and to correct any inaccurate, incomplete or out-of-date information we hold about you by contacting us on the information set out in the ‘Contact Us’ section below.  

Where possible we will comply with your request, however, there may be instances where we cannot fulfil your request. We will always communicate with you of the reasons and any consequences before going forward, or give you written reasons for any refusal (where we able to do so under applicable law).
