Meet Katrina Greeves
Head of Product
I’m from Brisbane but have lived in Sydney on and off for the last 20 years and have lived and worked in various parts of Australia, the UK and Canada. I speak English (with hints of Aussie, British and Canadian) and some schoolgirl Japanese. I joined World Nomads in 2007 when it was still in its infancy.
As Head of Product, I lead a team of customer evangelists, communications specialists, CX and insurance product managers. We work with some of the world's leading insurers to design World Nomads travel insurance to suit travellers from more than 130 countries. We are the eyes, ears and voice of World Nomads customers and the heart and soul of World Nomads travel insurance – we live and breathe it.
I travel to explore local places and meet local people. I'm an adventurist. When crisscrossing Southeast Asia, one memorable experience was crossing the border in a dodgy taxi from Vietnam into Southern Laos. We fended off local police looking for bribes, sprinted across no man’s land to the last bus filled with locals and their animals. We then sat on a rice bag for six hours until we arrived in Si Pan Don to cool off in the Mekong under the watchful eye of the local pig farmer. There have also been plenty of epic powder days on big mountains, countless dives on impressive wrecks and reefs, multi-day hiking and rock-climbing adventures (and hopefully more to come!).
