Perplexed about the nature of her work, Sarah’s dad once complained she led a rootless existence. She took it as a compliment.
An award-winning journalist with more than 20 years’ experience, she’s traveled the world meeting communities, observing wildlife (her great love) and embarking on adventures.
Based in the UK (when she's at home), she writes and photographs for multiple newspapers and magazines including The Daily Telegraph, The Times, National Geographic Traveller UK, Travel Africa and Wanderlust. She also works as Travel Editor for UK press agency PA Media and regularly compiles conservation content for Africa-focussed charity Tusk.
Her geographical specialisms range from Africa and South America, to the Polar regions and Scandinavia; while family ties with Italy frequently bring her to the Mediterranean.
