Kai Wada Roath, a California bohemian, is the official Ambassador of Confusion Hill, a 1950’s roadside attraction in Northern California. He's also the host of the Super Shangri-La Show, presenting obscure cult movies at the historic Balboa Theater in San Francisco. When he's not leading tours of the Barbary Coast saloons or mounting historical plaques about the Gold Rush era with the Ancient & Honorable secret organization he belongs to (Credo Quia Absurdum), he's spending the day with his two young daughters looking for the Lake Merritt Monster. His last adventure was in Northern France, to spend the day in the potato field on the 100-year anniversary where the Red Baron was shot down, a promise that he made to himself when he was on Easter Island 13 years ago.
