Meet Evangeline Yong
Travel Writer
Evangeline Yong was a winner of the World Nomads Travel Writing Scholarship 2020. She first fell in love with travel when she was 18, during a year of sleeping in bed bug-infested hostels, hiking among magnificent mountains, and spontaneously starting conversations with strangers. She’s always loved writing and grew up scribbling short stories in notebooks, so travel writing quickly became a passion after that year. Evangeline is currently based in Melbourne, Australia, studying law and Spanish at university. When she’s not wandering the globe, you can usually find her enjoying a cup of lemon tea and a soul-warming book (preferably about travel)!
