Does my travel insurance cover pickleball?

World Nomads plans provide coverage for U.S. residents traveling abroad or 100 miles or more from home, who plan to play pickleball while traveling. Check your plan carefully before heading to the court as conditions and exclusions apply.

How it works

If you become seriously ill or injured while playing pickleball on your trip and need urgent medical assistance, coverage may include:

Medical procedures should be pre-approved and arranged by the 24/7 Emergency Assistance team.

What may not be covered?

Travel insurance isn’t designed to cover everything. Our policies exclude:

  • Participation as an athlete in any professional sporting event.
  • Accidental injury or sickness when traveling against the advice of a physician.
  • A loss arising from your willfully exposing yourself to a needless risk or not taking reasonable care, including playing under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
  • Any ongoing medical costs once you get back home.
  • Anything else that's listed in the exclusions on the policy.
