Storm Dennis causing disruptions across the UK – February 2020

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for large parts of the UK as Storm Dennis passes over the region.

Following Storm Ciara last week, which caused nearly 1 million power cuts and widespread travel disruption, Storm Dennis has led to a record number of flood alerts and warnings being put in place for England and Wales.

Ongoing severe weather may cause further disruption to your flights or travel itinerary.

Stay up to date with weather reports and contact your airline to find out if your flights have been canceled or delayed.

Red weather alert: Severe winter storms - 1 March, 2018

Winter Storm Emma is combining with the Siberian storm known as the "Beast from the East" to create the most serious winter conditions the United Kingdom has seen for years. A red weather alert - the highest level - has been issued by the Met Office for parts of Devon, Somerset and South Wales, and amber or yellow warnings are in effect for the rest of the country.

Harsh conditions are expected to continue into next week in some areas. Heavy snow is predicted for the entire region, with freezing rain also possible. Due to hazardous road conditions, unnecessary trips should be avoided. Travelers should be prepared for long travel delays and cancellations on bus, rail, and air travel. Check the Met Office for the latest weather information.
