To our fellow nomads,

None of us could have imagined the unprecedented events that have unfolded in recent months. What we are witnessing with the coronavirus pandemic is extraordinary and requires an extraordinary response.

We know many of you who hold our travel insurance policies have questions regarding coverage. We are endeavoring to answer each and every one of you individually, but as you can imagine there are a number of travelers seeking assistance at this time.

We ask that you please be patient with us. We’re working as quickly as possible to get other employees trained and authorized to answer calls and emails.

In the meantime, we have put together an extensive set of FAQ answers. Please use this in the first instance.

With so many of us forced into self-isolation we believe now, more than ever, is the time to show kindness, and to support the travel community. We have been inspired, for example, by the people who have taken to their balconies in China and Italy to sing and play instruments.

Consequently, we are changing the emphasis of the content we want to share with you. We are calling it ‘armchair travel’; stories and other content to keep your travel juices flowing and prepare you for when you can travel once again and do it better, with more insight and confidence.

As well as a new daily Coronavirus podcast, to keep you up to date with constantly changing state of travel in the world, we will be sharing articles on ways to stay busy if you are self-isolating or working at home, ideas on keeping motivated and positive about travel, and offering inspiration and hope for the better days ahead.

Remember, we are a community whose belief in travel as a way of life may be challenged but will never waiver.

To you and your loved ones we say stay safe, don’t forget to wash your hands and, even when you are not traveling, remember, we are all still World Nomads.

Stay safe,
The World Nomads team
