Media Release: Sydney - Public voting is underway to crown the World Nomads’ Content Creator Scholarship People’s Choice Award winner.
World Nomads, in partnership with NOMADasaurus, Sony and RØDE microphones, in 2022 ran a scholarship contest that gave four winners the opportunity to sharpen their content creation skills and business savvy.
The winners of the initial scholarship were Colin and Meg Mukri from South Carolina, USA; Samantha Porter from Vancouver, Canada; Toni Oi, from Canada, living in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; and Tuli Musau, from Kenya, living in Brisbane, Australia.
They each won a prize pack worth more than US$2,000, which included a Sony Camera, RØDE audio gear, Bright Trip travel creative courses and $150 toward travel insurance. Each winner was also given US$2,500 to travel and create on assignment. They also received online mentoring from 2014 scholarship winner and content creators NOMADasaurus. The four winners have now returned from their assignments and submitted their best work. It’s up to the public to decide our ultimate winner.
The People’s Choice Award winner will receive an additional US$2,500 to help fund their next travel content creation trip. One public voter will also win a content creator prize pack worth more than US$2,000, with the same inclusions as the original scholarship winners.
Public voting runs through May 10. World Nomads will announce the People’s Choice winner on May 11, and the public vote winner on May 26.
